About Logan

Hometown: Gallipolis, OH

School: Graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2020

I grew up in a fairly small town, was raised to go to church every Sunday, and was taught Biblical stories from a fairly young age in many Sunday School lessons. I had two loving parents who taught me to be a good person and to attend church every week, but that was the extent of my relationship with God. I became curious about what a relationship with Jesus could look like after witnessing the lives of faithful men and women in my community. I began digging deeper into my faith before leaving for college, however, I was still missing the relational aspect of my faith and a true understanding of the Gospel.

Upon praying diligently for the Lord to provide me with support to understand these things, I met a Campus Outreach staff member when leaving for a Spring Break trip in Colorado. After being posed with piercing questions about the Gospel, I began meeting with this staff member on a regular basis when we returned to campus at UC. Through the love and openness that this staff member showed me, I was able to witness what it meant to live a life in full submission to Christ. Finally, I was able to grasp the truth of the Gospel and my need for a savior became evident. I began turning from my sinful ways, repenting from my sins, and looking in scripture for truth. Coming across John 14:6, I saw the need to share the Gospel with other students considering that Jesus was the only way. Quickly, I became involved with CO during my last few semesters of my undergraduate degree before transitioning into graduate school at the University of Cincinnati.

I believed that I was called to utilize the gifts I had been given in the medical field, however, those plans were drastically changed when God put on my heart to be a laborer on the college campus. During such a pivotal time, I saw the utmost importance in having faithful individuals laboring to bring the Gospel to college students. Without a staff member doing so in my own life, I am not sure I would have overcome many of the obstacles that I faced during these formative years. Through prayer and counsel, I decided to commit myself to the vision of CO. I am beyond excited to aid in furthering the Gospel at the University of Cincinnati. Exhibiting life-on-life ministry at a campus close to my own heart is a privilege.
